12 killed in Pakistan road accident
August 19th, 2011 - 1:42 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, Aug 19 (IANS) At least 12 people were killed and four injured in a road accident Thursday night in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, Xinhua reported.
According to the local media reports, the accident occurred at about 7.00 p.m. when two passenger vans collided near the Saranan area north of Quetta, capital of Balochistan province.
One of the vans was on its way from Quetta to Pishin city, while the other was on its way to Quetta from Chaman city.
While the local media reports put the number of the passengers on the two vans at 16, sources from Pishin city told Xinhua that there were altogether 35 people on board.
There was on official confirmation about the casualities till last reports.
