12 Colombian rebels killed
July 12th, 2010 - 11:14 am ICT by IANSBogota, July 12 (IANS/EFE) Twelve leftist guerrillas have been killed in fighting with security forces in central Colombia, an official said.
The rebels belonged to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). The fighting took place in Tolima province Sunday, said Gen. Freddy Padilla, armed forces chief. The rebels were responsible for the security of FARC chief Alfonso Cano.
