11-month-old Oliver Denning drowns while bathing
January 10th, 2011 - 9:40 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattSheffield, Jan 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After losing her 11-month-old son in bizarre circumstances, Amy Denning seems to have a message for all mothers and parents at large.
She warned that parents from all over the world should learn from what happened to her. So what exactly happened to her or more appropriately to her son, Oliver?
Amy was bathing Oliver and his brother in a tub that only contained 8 inches of water when she decided to leave and change Oliver’s mat. According to Amy, she was just away for a couple of minutes but when she came back, Oliver had almost drowned. She then picked the unconscious body of little Oliver and started shouting around the house.
When Oliver was taken to the hospital, he was already dead and autopsy on his body revealed that he died of brain damage that was caused by near drowning. Subsequently, the police have closed their investigation into the case and ruled it as merely an accident.
That though changes nothing. It still means that things cannot be always taken for granted when there are little ones involved. That is exactly what Amy wants the whole world and parents to realize.
May the soul of little Oliver rest in peace.
