10-yr-old girls addicted to vodka-laced alcopop WKD, reveals poll
February 20th, 2011 - 4:39 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb 20 (ANI): Girls as young as 10 have named vodka-laced alcopop WKD their favourite drink in a UK poll.
Stunned health workers had expected pupils to talk about cola and juices.
But instead they found many kids sup bottles of the brightly-coloured WKD, which has more booze than a shot of whisky, reports the Sun.
The survey was conducted at three primary schools was for the NHS South East Essex health trust.
Ray Hatter, a substance misuse specialist for the trust, said the findings were “disturbing”.
“This problem is not just at the schools we visited - it is more widespread,” he added. (ANI)
