10 rebels killed in Colombia
May 18th, 2010 - 9:31 am ICT by IANSBogota, May 18 (IANS) Ten members of Colombia’s largest leftist guerrilla group have been killed in fighting with the security forces in northeastern part of the country, officials said.
The fighting between security forces and the guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) took place in Arauquita municipality near the border with Venezuela. A female member of the outfit was captured, and weapons and explosives were seized, Xinhua reported Monday.
A military report said the victims belonged to the group’s 10th Front.
