10 rebels captured in Colombia
February 10th, 2010 - 11:40 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bogota, Feb 10 (IANS/EFE) Ten guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed forces of Colombia (FARC) have been captured by security forces in an operation near the Venezuelan border, the government said.
The rebels were captured in the towns of Teorama, El Tarra and Convencion in Norte de Santander province Tuesday.
The FARC is Colombia’s largest leftist guerrilla group.
The captured rebels belonged to the financial and military network of the FARC, the government said in a statement.
