Islamabad, June 14 (IANS) At least 10 militants were killed and six wounded Monday in Pakistan’s restive tribal region as government forces attacked militants’ hideouts, official sources said.
Pakistani air force jets pounded militants’ hideouts in Orakzai agency, destroying two in the tribal area, Xinhua reported.
Pakistani military had launched an operation in Orakzai and Kurram agencies in March this year to clean the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan of Taliban militants. Over 1,000 militants have been killed.
