BEIJING, CHINA - AUGUST 8 : Chinese couples kiss after registering to get married today, which is considered one of the luckiest days of the year August 8, 2008 in Beijing, China. Thousands registered to get married today since the number eight is considered very lucky in the Chinese culture.The quality of the air continues to be a major issue in the lead up to the games. Ten thousand athletes have gathered in China for the Olympic games along with hundreds of thousands of fans and 30,000 journalists.
