Zaheer, Sreesanth ruled out for WI Test series

New Delhi, June 10 (IANS) India’s pace spearhead Zaheer Khan and S.Sreesanth have been ruled out of the Test series against the West Indies with injuries.
“Zaheer has a right ankle problem while Sreesanth has a right elbow problem. Both players will require some time off for rehabilitation,” Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in a statement Friday.
Abhimanyu Mithun and Praveen Kumar have been named as their replacements in the Test squad.
While Sachin Tendulkar has been rested for the entire West Indies series, Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag will miss out due to injuries.
India will play three Tests against West Indies starting June 20 after the five ODIs.
