Yuvraj’s bag robbed from car

Zirakpur (Punjab), May 28 (IANS) Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s bag was robbed in this Punjab town from his Audi car while it was being driven by his employees from Delhi to Chandigarh Saturday, police said.

According to the police, Yuvraj’s car was going towards Chandigarh when one of its tyres got punctured here in the evening.

“Yuvraj’s driver Dalip Singh and personal cook Dinesh were coming to Chandigarh in the car. When they started changing the punctured tyre, some unknown person picked the bag that was lying on the rear seat of the vehicle,” Yogi Raj, station house officer of Zirakpur, told IANS.

“The bag belonged to Yuvraj Singh and contained some documents and clothes of the cricketer. We have registered a case,” he added.

Yuvraj, who recently took part in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament, is in Delhi.

Zirakpur town, in Mohali district of Punjab, is around 10 km from the state capital Chandigarh.
