Youth survives 90-foot fall thanks to a sunbed
May 24th, 2011 - 3:08 pm ICT by IANSLondon, May 24 (IANS) A British teenager survived a 90-foot fall at a hotel as he landed on a sun lounger, it was reported here.
Nineteen-year-old Jacob Evans suffered a broken arm and ankle after he fell from the seventh floor on Spanish island Majorca, The Sun reported.
Police suspect that he may have been trying to jump from the balcony into the hotel’s pool.
“To survive this fall is nothing short of a miracle. He’s very lucky.
“We understand he landed on a sun lounger by the pool and it cushioned his fall,” a police source was quoted as saying.
