Deepak and his two friends went to swim in the river at 3 p.m. and were swept away by the strong current, a senior police officer told IANS.
“Strong water currents swept away Deepak and his two friends when they were in the middle of the river. Two youths were rescued,” the officer said.
Around seven swimmers of the flood rescue team and a boat have been deployed to rescue Deepak.
“Rescue operations will be affected at night. There are slim chances of tracing the youth as time is running out,” he added.
