Youth held for shooting cop’s son
September 16th, 2011 - 12:39 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 15 (IANS) A 19-year-old youth has been arrested for shooting the son of a Delhi Police head constable after a minor altercation here, police said.
Ashish shot Dinesh, a resident of Paschim Vihar in north Delhi, Wednesday night in Kanjhawala area of west Delhi, police said.
“The condition of Dinesh, who was shot in the stomach, is critical and he is currently undergoing treatment in a Paschim Vihar Hospital,” said a police official adding that Ashish had fled from the spot but was arrested within two hours of the incident.
Police said that Ashish and Dinesh got into altercation few days ago and Tuesday’s incident was the fall out of the earlier argument between the duos.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against Ashish.
