Youth having affair with aunt kills uncle

Mumbai, March 31 (IANS) Mumbai Police have arrested a 22-year old youth for allegedly conniving with his aunt to kill her husband. The accused,Ashok Harilal Kanojia, 22, was staying with his uncle Keshav Pijoo Kanojia, 33, at Jogeshwari, a suburb in northwest Mumbai.
Joint Police Commissioner (Crime) Rakesh Maria said Keshav came to know that his wife Geeta was having an illicit relationship with Ashok.
Keshav confronted Ashok and thrashed him badly before throwing him out of the home.
Nursing a grudge against his uncle, Ashok visited them at Naigaon Sunday evening and insisted on taking Keshav out for a drink.
After the drinking session, he offered to drop his uncle home but instead took him to a deserted place and repeatedly stabbed him. Ashok left Keshav to bleed to death.
Unperturbed after the crime, Ashok went to his aunt Geeta and spent the night with her, Maria said.
Acting on a tip-off Ashok was picked up for questioning from his Andheri residence Monday morning.
During interrogation, Ashok broke down and confessed to his crime. He also revealed that Geeta had instigated him to kill her husband.
Ashok even disclosed the place where he had killed his uncle. The police have recovered Keshav’s body with five stab wounds.
