Youth found dead in Punjab in suspected honour killing
August 30th, 2010 - 2:25 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Aug 30 (IANS) A man in his mid-20s has been killed in Punjab’s Sangrur district, police said Monday and suspected it to be a case of honour killing.
The body of Raja Ram was recovered early Monday by his relatives and the police from railway tracks in a village near Sangrur, about 130 km from Chandigarh.
A police official investigating the death said Raja Ram got married with Manjit Kaur last month against the wishes of her family.
Ram’s relatives allege that he was killed by the Manjit Kaur’s family members.
