Youth drowns in Delhi
May 22nd, 2010 - 7:47 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 22 (IANS) A 20-year-old youth drowned in a pond in Najafgarh area of west Delhi, police said Saturday.
“Tarik, a factory worker, drowned in a pond at Jharoda Kalan yesterday (Friday). He had gone for a swim with three of his friends,” a police official said.
His body was fished out by a Delhi Fire Service (DFS) team after they were informed of the incident.
Police are investigating the matter and waiting for the post-mortem report.
“Till now it seems like a case of accidental drowning. We are investigating the matter and waiting for post-mortem report,” the police official added.
