Youth dies during run meant for railway recruitment
April 21st, 2011 - 11:40 pm ICT by IANSBareilly (Uttar Pradesh), April 21 (IANS) A youth who participated in a run that was part of a recruitment drive of the railways died at a stadium ground here Thursday, police said.
Guddu Yadav (22) died while running at the Izatnagar Railway stadium.
“Guddu participated in the 1,500-metre run meant for selecting candidates for the Class Four posts of the Railways,” police inspector Pradeep Kumar told reporters in Bareilly, some 250 km from Lucknow.
“Guddu’s body has been sent for post-mortem. The exact reason behind his death can only be ascertained after the post-mortem,” he added.
Yadav came from his native place in Varanasi district to participate in the recruitment.
