Youth commits suicide after break-up with girlfriend
July 16th, 2010 - 4:50 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, July 16 (IANS) A 22-year-old man committed suicide after he was spurned by his girlfriend in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, police said Friday.
Palash Chakraborty consumed poison late Thursday in his home in Gaighata village on the outskirts of Bongaon, about 80 km from here. Palash and his girlfriend had a fight early in the day.
“Palash committed suicide after his girlfriend left him. We are investigating the case,” Samarendra Das, the sub-divisional police officer of Bongaon, told IANS.
