Youth arrested with cartridges
September 26th, 2011 - 6:15 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Sep 26 (IANS) A youth, suspected to be involved in an inter-state arms racket, was arrested in Kolkata and 100 cartridges seized from him, police said Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, Special Task Force (STF) personnel picked up Pradip Mandal from the Tangra area in east Kolkata Sunday night, an STF source said.
“He seems to be part of an inter-state arms racket. We are probing whether the cartridges were meant for the Maoists or any other terrorist group,” the source said.
