Youth arrested for murder
June 17th, 2011 - 12:53 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 16 (IANS) A 20-year-old youth in west Delhi allegedly murdered a teenager, with whom he had a scuffle earlier, police said Thursday.
Anil Kumar stabbed to death Sanjay, 19, on Tuesday night and was arrested on a tip-off from Jwalapuri area Wednesday, said police.
According to police, Anil worked at a garment shop in Jwalapuri market. The shop adjacent to his belonged to Rahul who was a friend of Sanjay and was regularly dropped home by him on his bicycle.
“Three days earlier, when Sanjay came to pick up Rahul, he parked his bicycle in front of Anil’s shop which led to a minor scuffle between the duo resulting in Anil threatening Sanjay with dire consequences,” said a police official.
“On the night of the incident, when Sanjay came to the market, Anil attacked him claiming that Sanjay was staring at him,” added police.
Sanjay was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, added police.
