London, June 7 (IANS) Singer Gary Barlow became the target of digs by US reality show “X-Factor” judges.

Barlow is speculated to receive a knighthood soon as he organised Queen Elizabeth II’s recent Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

On the sets of “X-Factor”, judges - Irish manager Louis Walsh and singer Tulisa Contostavlos, wasted no time in poking fun at Barlow’s prospective new title.

“The audience erupted into applause when Gary was introduced as ‘Sir Gary’ when the judges walked on stage and began to take their seats,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.

“He was jokingly knighted by the warm-up man while Louis Walsh, sporting a new haircut, started calling him Sir Gary, too. The crowd then got behind him, chanting, ‘Get Gary knighted,” the source added.
