‘Women enjoy work trips more than men’
July 8th, 2011 - 8:14 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 8 (IANS) Women prefer work-related travel more than men, according to a study conducted by travel website, TripAdvisor.
The study said 94 percent women prefer work-related travel as compared men who score 87 percent.
The online survey was done across a cross section of around 2,500 travellers working in government, public sector, private companies, multinationals as well as self-employed.
“This is our first travel survey conducted to understand the Indian business traveller better and the results have been extremely insightful. Most interestingly the survey has brought to light some striking facts about the Indian working woman’s behaviour and preferences in contrary to our traditional perception,” said Nikhil Ganju, country Manager, TripAdvisor.
“Surprisingly, 84 percent women believe technology has reduced their work travel needs as compared to 63 percent men, he added.
