New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS) The body of a 22-year-old woman whose throat had been slit was Friday found stuffed in an abandoned travel bag at the New Delhi railway station, police said. The murder came to light in the morning when a passenger noticed the bag with blood dripping from it. The police were immediately alerted.

“Her hands were tied with a rope. There were injury marks on different parts of her body but she died of a cut in her throat,” a police officer said. “The girl is of fair complexion and 5″2 in height.”

Police are trying to identify the victim and are examining closed-circuit television camera footage at the station for clues to the murder.
