Woman’s body found in suitcase
May 21st, 2011 - 12:37 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 20 (IANS) The decomposed body of an unidentified young woman was found in a suitcase in a rented room in west Delhi, police said Friday.
“The incident was reported from a house in Mahesh Vihar in Uttam Nagar. Her identity could not be ascertained since the body was fully decomposed. It appeared that she died around 15 days ago,” a police official said.
A Nigerian, Innocent Nwyu, was living in the rented room where the body was found. The owner of the room was one Gurudev Singh, who said he had not seen Nwyu for the past 15 days, the official added.
“When Singh went to collect the rent today (Friday) from Nwyu he found the door locked. There was stench which was coming from the room. Singh broke open the door and found a suitcase in which a fully decomposed body of a woman was found,” the officer said.
