Woman robbed of Rs.40,000 in Delhi Metro
November 25th, 2009 - 10:30 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) A woman bank employee was allegedly robbed of Rs.40,000 while travelling in a Delhi Metro train on the Dwarka-Noida line, police said Wednesday.
The police said Madhu, employed with the Oriental Bank of Commerce, reported that she had boarded the train from the Ramakrishna Mission Marg metro station Monday. When the train reached the Karol Bagh station, she realized that her bag was open and Rs.40,000 were missing from inside.
She reported the matter to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials on duty who in turn informed the police.
Police said a case of theft has been registered at the Rajouri Garden police station of Delhi Metro.
