Woman raped by black magic practitioner in Delhi
August 23rd, 2009 - 10:15 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Aug 23 (IANS) A 27-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a black magic practitioner here, police said Sunday.
The woman visited the black magic practitioner, Tarachand, Thursday in outer Delhi’s Narela area, a police officer said.
“Tarachand offered her some drink spiked with sedatives. After consuming the drink, the woman fell unconscious and was raped by the accused,” the police officer said.
According to police, the woman was depressed as she was not able to conceive and came in touch with Tarachand, who assured that after taking his medicine she would be able to conceive.
“Tarachand threatened her of dire consequences if she informed anybody about the incident. However, she gained some courage and told her family about the incident Saturday night,” the officer said.
Police have arrested Tarachand on the basis of the woman’s complaint.
