Woman held for posing as Mamata’s aide

New Delhi, Feb 8 (IANS) A 40-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday for posing as West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s personal assistant and duping people of more than Rs.8 lakh, police said.
Seema Malhotra was arrested from Vasant Kunj area of south Delhi.
She conned people by telling them that she knew the former railway minister and could get them catering contracts for the luxury train Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, a police officer said.
She was earlier arrested in 2010 in a cheating case and was lodged in Tihar Jail.
Malhotra used to change homes frequently to avoid detection. Her husband, Joginder Malhotra, too was involved in cheating cases, the officer said.
