Woman held for killing husband
September 25th, 2011 - 12:33 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 24 (IANS) A woman, along with her paramour and his accomplice, has been arrested for murdering her husband who used to beat her over her illicit affair, police said Saturday.
Arti, 32, Sant Saran Nehra, 32, and Mirdul Dixit, 30, were arrested Friday.
Police said Arti hatched a plan with the other two to kill her husband Sonu, 32, at their home in Moti Nagar in west Delhi.
Accordingly, the two men entered the couple’s home late Wednesday night and attacked Sonu with a sharp object. To disguise the entire incident as a case of robbery, they tied up Arti and fled.
“During investigation, we found that Arti had a strained relationship with Sonu over her affair with Nehra. Her husband used to beat her over the issue. She then planned to kill her husband,” a police officer said.
