Woman gang raped in husband’s presence in Jharkhand
April 26th, 2011 - 7:04 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, April 26 (IANS) A woman was gang raped by eight men in front of her captive husband in steel city Jamshedpur, police said here Tuesday.
According to police, the couple went to a park of the city Monday evening, when they were accosted by three men.
Posing as police personnel, the men forcibly took the couple to the nearby forest, where they were joined by five more men.
The men then took turns in raping the woman, while the husband was held captive.
Two men have been arrested for the crime after the couple approached the police Tuesday, a police officer said.
The couple from Purulia district of West Bengal was married only three months ago.
