Woman found dead in house, husband missing
December 22nd, 2011 - 1:28 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 21 (IANS) The decomposed body of a placement agency owner’s 25-year-old wife was found at their north Delhi house Wednesday afternoon, police said. The victim’s husband and five-year-old daughter are untraceable.
Menka Rao, a resident of Sector 16 Rohini, was found dead in the bedroom around 4 p.m. after police broke open the door of her house.
A police official said the door was opened after her uncle and brother, who also live in Delhi, filed a missing complaint.
Prima-facie it seems that she was murdered three days ago. “Strangulation marks were found on her neck, but it will be too early to say anything without her medical examination. Her body has been sent for post mortem,” added the official.
Menka married Kishan Rao, who runs a placement agency, five years ago and the couple has a five-year-old daughter. “Both her husband and her daughter were found missing and a hunt is on to find the husband,” added the official.
