Woman found dead in Ghaziabad
September 20th, 2010 - 10:36 pm ICT by IANSGhaziabad, Sep 20 (IANS) The wife of the owner of a local sweets outlet was found dead in Lajpat Nagar under Sahibabad police station area here Monday, police said. However, the cause of her death was not immediately known.
Forty-year-old Ritu Agarwal, wife of Sunil Agarwal of the Agarwal Sweets, was found dead at her house around 3.15 p.m.
Sunil’s nephew Ankit, who came to their house, found Ritu lying unconscious in her room. No one was at home at that time.
Family members claimed that her face bore several injury marks and her gold bangles were missing from her hands. A leather belt was also lying near her body.
The police, on the other hand, said that she had fallen from a stool, kept inside the room.
“The body has been sent for post-mortem. The cause would be known only after that,” Superintendent of Police (City) Avdesh Kumar Vijeta said.
