Mahinder Kaur, a resident of Vikaspuri, left behind a note saying her wealth and assets be donated to Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in central Delhi.
“The incident took place around 9 a.m. at Subhash Nagar metro station. Although we are still investigating, it appears to be a suicide case,” a police official said.
Kaur was working as a lower division clerk with the coast guard and might have been suffering from mental illness, police said.
According to witnesses, Kaur walked on the platform for about 15-20 minutes before jumping in front of the train.
