Woman cop found dead
September 6th, 2011 - 11:07 pm ICT by IANSAllahabad, Sep 6 (IANS) A policewoman was Tuesday found dead in mysterious circumstances on the railway tracks in this Uttar Pradesh district, police said.
The mutilated body of constable Anita Sharma, 24, was recovered from the railway tracks in Dhoomanganj area of the district, some 200 km from Lucknow.
“Preliminary investigations indicate it’s not a natural death. The body has been sent for autopsy that would reveal whether it’s a case of suicide or murder,” said a police official.
Sharma, a native of Allahabad, went missing Monday morning from her residence in Beniganj area. Later, a complaint was registered in Khuldabad police station.
