Woman carrying pistol held at Metro station
July 30th, 2011 - 7:01 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 30 (IANS) A 23-year-old woman was Saturday arrested at Noida City Centre Metro station for allegedly carrying a home-made pistol while she was on way to board a train going to Dwarka in west Delhi, a security official said.
Rashmi from Uttar Pradesh was to board a Metro train to Dwaraka Sector 21 when the pistol was found in her bag during security check, said the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) offical. She was caught.
“The security officials detected the pistol in her handbag around 12.10 p.m. When questioned about the pistol, she said she was not aware about how it came into her bag,” Rohit Katiyar, CISF spokesperson, told IANS.
She was handed over to Uttar Pradesh Police, he said.
