Woman banker commits suicide in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad, June 7 (IANS) A woman bank manager Thursday committed suicide by jumping from the 13th floor of a building in Ghaziabad, police said.

Fiza, 26, was reportedly suffering from depression. A suicide note was found in which she blamed herself for the act, police said. She was married a year ago.

The incident occurred in Kanchanjunga residential tower of Kaushambi under Indirapuram police station of this Uttar Pradesh city.

Her friend Priyanka Bhatia, who lives in the same building, said Fiza was suffering from depression for the last few months.

Bhatia, who lives in flat no.403 of Kanchanjunga tower, said Fiza was living in flat no.304 at the residence of one Prem Arora as a paying guest.

She went to the 13th floor and jumped from there.

The Indirapuram Police have recovered a suicide note in which she has blamed herself for the act and mentioned that “no one should be held responsible for my act. I am myself responsible”.

“She was married to one Arib a year back. We have sent the body for post-mortem,” said a police official.
