Woman arrested for killing mother-in-law
August 10th, 2010 - 12:10 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS) A 28-year-old woman was arrested for murdering her mother-in-law in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas area, police said Monday.
According to police, Poonam Rani murdered her mother-in-law after a quarrel.
“She stated that her mother-in-law (Sarwan Devi) scolded her on petty issues and was pressurizing her to do a B. Ed. course. On that fateful night she had some serious altercations and differences with her mother-in-law over this as Poonam was not interested in pursuing this course,” South Dist. DCP, H.G.S. Dhaliwal said.
“The weapon of offence and blood-stained clothes have been recovered from her possession,” Dhaliwal added.
