Woman arrested for drugs smuggling
November 2nd, 2010 - 10:00 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Nov 2 (IANS) A woman has been arrested in Haryana’s Ambala city on charges of drugs smuggling, police said.
Police said they recovered one kilogram of ‘ganja’ from Pinki Devi of Mahesh Nagar in Ambala, 45 km from here. “It is the first time a woman has been arrested with so much ganja,” a spokesman said.
Police alleged that Pinki Devi and her husband Balvinder Singh were involved in the smuggling of drugs for a long time. The seized drugs were hidden in a box-shaped almirah in the house.
