Wipro wins American award for eighth time
November 21st, 2011 - 9:02 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, Nov 21 (IANS) India’s third largest IT bellwether Wipro won the American Society for Training and Development ‘Best’ award for the eighth consecutive year, the company said Monday.
The society’s awards are the training industry’s coveted recognition of enterprises’ success through employee and development, the global software major said in a statement here.
“Wipro has won the Best award eight of the nine years since our inception. The global company has an impressive learning culture that is aligned with its strategic business goals,” society’s president Tony Bingham said at the award ceremony held in Washington DC recently.
According to Wipro’s talent transformation chief D. Selvan, the award is a testimony of the company’s commitment to training and development consistently.
As the world’s largest association dedicated to training and development field, the society has members from over 100 countries worldwide and connect 125 US chapters and 20 international partners.
