Winter eludes Delhi, pleasant day ahead

New Delhi, Dec 5 (IANS) It’s the time of the year when shawls and overcoats are in full display on the streets, but the chill still eludes Delhi with the minimum temperature recorded Monday morning two notches above average at 10.5 degrees Celsius.

While the city woke up to shallow fog, the Met office has forecast a sunny day ahead.

“The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 28 degrees while the minimum is expected to touch 13 degrees,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature was 27.6 degree, three notches above average.
