Will send show-cause notice to deemed universities: Sibal
January 12th, 2011 - 12:03 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 11 (IANS) Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal said Tuesday the government will issue a show cause notice to all deemed universities for their de-recognition, which will be treated on a case-by-case basis.”We will issue show cause notice to all the deemed universities within a time frame and the matter will be decided separately in each of the cases,” Sibal told reporters here.
His remarks came on a day when the Supreme Court passed an order asking the central government to review its proposal to derecognise 44 deemed universities and give them another opportunity to remove deficiencies in infrastructure.
