WIFW Autumn/Winter 2012 to start Feb 15
December 2nd, 2011 - 2:04 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Autumn/Winter 2012 — five days of fun, fashion and glamour — is expected to kick off Feb 15, 2012.
“Yes, the dates have been decided by the board and we are currently considering it as the final dates but before formally announcing everything, we have to check the availability of sponsors and designers so it’s better to term it tentative dates,” Sunil Sethi, chief of event organiser Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), told IANS.
The last edition of WIFW, held at Pragati Maidan in October, witnessed more than 120 designers presenting their collections on the ramp and stalls and Sethi is expecting the same response for the next season.
“We are hopeful that this edition will also break all records like past season. With so many talented designers in India’s fashion industry, it is a possible task,” he said.
FDCI has been strictly focusing on promoting fashion at the WIFW business-to-business event, but also invite celebrities to walk the ramp.
