Wife, paramour held for killing husband

New Delhi, March 29 (IANS) A woman, her paramour and an associate were held for killing her husband, police said Tuesday.

Rekha, 32, got her husband Vinod Kumar, 40, murdered by her boyfriend Naveen, 21, and accomplice Mandeep, 19, a police officer said.

“At Rekha’s instance, Mandeep and Naveen stabbed Kumar, a commission agent, in Begumpur area while he was on morning walk March 23. Vinod and Rekha had a love marriage,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Chhaya Sharma.

During investigation, Rekha told police that her husband suspected her character and used to beat her.

“Naveen, who earlier gave tutions to Rekha’s children, had illicit relationship with her,” said Sharma.

Mandeep told police that he wanted to teach Kumar a lesson.

“Vinod thrashed Rekha severely on March 22. Rekha warned him that she would file a complaint against him. Vinod later went to her friend’s residence in Rohini Sector-20 and warned her not to visit his house. He claimed that Rekha’s friendship with her had led his wife on a wrong track,” said Sharma.

Police said that when Rekha came to know that her husband went to her friend’s house and created scene, she called Naveen. “She along with Naveen and Mandeep decided to kill him,” Sharma added.
