Wife kills alcoholic husband
October 19th, 2010 - 1:32 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Oct 19 (IANS) A 39-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday in Bastar district of Chhattisgarh after she confessed to killing her alcoholic husband who assaulted her daily, police said.
Radheshyam Yadav, 40, was found dead with a rope tied around his neck late Oct 15 at his house in Barpara village.
Initially, Shayam Bai claimed her husband committed suicide. But when we interrogated her, she confessed to smothering him to death, police officer Suresh Dhruv told IANS over telephone.
She said she committed the murder because her husband doubted her fidelity and used to beat her daily.
