Wet, foggy Saturday in Delhi, to continue Sunday (Lead)
January 7th, 2012 - 9:20 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 7 (IANS) Delhi witnessed a cold Saturday with a blanket of fog over the city coupled with icy winds throughout the day. The Met office has forecast thick fog cover and rain on Sunday too.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 12.5 degree Celsius, five degree above average, while the maximum temperature hovered around 17.7 degrees - three notches below average for this time of the season.
Humidity wavered between a high of 95 and low of 76 percent.
According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be fog on Sunday morning coupled with a slight drizzle.
The maximum and minimum temperature are likely to hover around 17 and 8 degrees, respectively.
Friday’s minimum temperature was recorded at 12.4 degrees, five notches above average, while the maximum settled at 16.9 degrees.
