Warm day in Delhi, showers likely Monday (Lead)

New Delhi, Sep 11 (IANS) The capital witnessed another dry and hot day Sunday, with the maximum temperature shooting up to 34.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above average. The Met office has forecast rains for Monday.

“The minimum temperature settled at 26.6 degrees Celsius, which was two notches above average. Humidity wavered between a high of 92 and low of 61 percent,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

“The sky will be partly cloudy Monday and there is a possibility of rains and lightning in some parts of the city,” the official added.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 34 degrees Celsius, while the minimum is likely to be around 26 degrees.
