Warm day in Delhi, showers expected Thursday (Lead)
December 7th, 2011 - 8:44 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 7 (IANS) It was a warm day in the capital Wednesday as the maximum temperature was recorded three notches above average at 27.4 degrees Celsius. The weatherman has forecast light rain Thursday evening.
“The minimum temperature was five degrees above average at 14 degrees,” said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The humidity levels wavered between a high of 96 and low of 52 percent.
According to the IMD, Delhi may witness light showers Thursday evening.
“The national capital will experience partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery developments and light rain towards Thursday evening,” the official said.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 29 and 15 degrees respectively.
