Warm day for Delhi, rains likely (Lead)
July 25th, 2011 - 8:24 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 25 (IANS) It was a warm day for Delhiites Monday, with the maximum temperature reaching 35 degrees Celsius, a notch above average, and humidity at uncomfortably high levels.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for this time of the season.
The maximum humidity was at 92 percent.
“There is possibility of light showers towards the evening,” an official of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
“The humidity is expected to rise with rains,” added the official.
Tuesday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 35 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively, the weather office said.
