(VM) Cote d’Ivoire name squad for African Cup of Nations

Arsenal Abidjan, Jan 6 (IANS) Cote d’Ivoire coach Francois Zahoui named two new players in the 25 member squad for the African Cup of Nationsin Equatorial Guinea and Gabon January 21-February 12.

Midfielder Marco Taddei Ne, who plays for Travia Simferopol in the Ukraine and goalkeeper Ibrahim Kone of French second division side Union Sportive de Boulogne are the new additions to a squad which must be trimmed to 23 by Jan 10.

They have been drawn in Group B at the African Cup of Nations where they will meet Angola, Burkina Faso and Sudan.

The 25-man squad:

Goalkeepers: Boubacar Barry (Lokeren/Belgium), Gerard Gnanhouan (US Avranches/France), Daniel Yeboah (Dijon/France), Ibrahim Kone (US Boulogne/France)

Defenders: Souleymane Bamba (Leicester/England), Didier Zokora (Trabzonspor/Turkey), Siaka Tiene (Paris SG/France), Benjamin Angoua (Valenciennes/France), Kolo Toure (Manchester City/England), Igor Lolo (FC Kuban/Russia), Emmanuel Eboue (Galatasaray/Turkey), Arthur Boka (Stuttgart/Germany)

Midfielders: Yaya Toure (Manchester City/England), Kafoumba Coulibaly (Nice/France), Jean-Jacques Gosso (Orduspor/Turkey), Didier Ya Konan (Hanover 96/Germany), Max Gradel (St Etienne/ France), Cheik Ismael Tiote (Newcastle/England), Marco Taddei Ne (Travia Simferopol/Ukraine)

Forwards: Salomon Kalou (Chelsea/England), Didier Drogba (Chelsea/England), Gervinho (Arsenal/England), Seydou Doumbia (CSKA Moscow/Russia), Wilfried Bony (Vitesse Arhnem/Netherlands), Kader Keita (Al Sadd/Qatar).
