VHP worker shot at in Delhi
August 23rd, 2011 - 8:38 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 23 (IANS) A 42-year-old Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) worker was shot at in his house in north Delhi, police said Tuesday.
Sudhir Singh, resident of Nehru Vihar, was shot in the abdomen late Monday night after he had returned from Janmashtami celebrations.
He was taken to the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, where his condition remains critical.
A group of four people knocked on his door and opened fire as soon as he opened it, police said. The cause is not yet known.
Singh, father of two, runs a small shop outside a temple near his house.
