Uttarakhand deluge: Two army officers killed
September 21st, 2010 - 6:05 pm ICT by IANSDehradun, Sep 21 (IANS) Two army officers, a colonel and a captain, have died in an avalanche in the upper reaches of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district that has been lashed by torrential rains over the past few days, police said Tuesday.
The incident took place near an army camp Monday night. The bodies of the victims were recovered Tuesday, police said.
